1How does the system work? Architecture?  How many groups can I have?

BTX Enterprise is built with enterprise requirements in mind, but is still simple enough to configure in a matter of minutes.

Built on top of the object-oriented Microsoft .NET 3.5 platform, Blogtronix Enterprise receives all the advantages of native compiled code and can run on either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows operating systems.

BTX Enterprise has been built from the ground up to take advantage of the core capabilities of the Microsoft .NET platform and as an application is organized around 3 logical tiers:

  • Web tier - This includes a suite of over 120 compiled C# server controls for rendering the user interface components as well as all the individual pages for displaying the UI.
  • Core Services tier - This includes an abstract data access API; over 80 different business logic components; an event pipeline for plugging in custom business logic; and a set of background services for operating on tasks outside of the processes serving active requests.
  • Repository tier - Through the data access API, the core services connect to the data repository through a well defined set of database calls. Extend it, improve it, and make it better

With an open and published API, source code available, and an event-driven pipeline, you have a variety of ways to extend Blogtronix Enterprise. You can extend and customize the user interface without recompiling the code and add new user interface elements.

You can extend the core services business logic through pluggable modules that can participate in the processing of any request. The user authentication system also supports a pluggable single sign-on system for LDAP, Windows Active Directory, Microsoft ASP.NET and Custom for any other single sign-on systems.

BTX Enterprise provides the ability to create an unlimited amount of subgroups of their main group as needed to facilitate information distribution, collaboration and content management.

2How does security work?

BTX Enterprise meets the highest standards of enterprise class security. Its hosting partner is SAS 70 Type II Certified, which is the most secure certification to attain.

3Do you support mobile device access? Which phones?  Do I need a web browser? Do you have an app?

Blogtronix currently runs on the majority of smart phones as well as any phone with a web-browser.  However, we are not currently an app-based software.

4What language is the platform built on, and what type of database is required?

Blogtronix is written entirely in C# for ASP.NET, running over .NET framework 3.5.and utilizes Microsoft SQL 2008 for the database.

5Do you integrate with Sharepoint or Salesforce?

We do not currently have any existing integrations with Sharepoint or Salesforce out of the box.  However we do have an existing integration with Documentum and we also offer LDAP and SSO integration for Blogtronix products.  Please contact sales@blogtronix.com for options relating to integrations.
